Movements Share \”Cherry Thrill\” Visualizer

MOVEMENTS are back with a brand new track. The band has shared the visualizer for \”Cherry Thrill.\” Watch and listen here.
\”Cherry Thrill\” presents a new sonic side of Movements. The California post-hardcore band taps into its alternative and indie rock sensibilities on this smooth, steady, and ultimately woozy track. While the band is known for its push and pull guitar tension, \”Cherry Thrill\” slows things down in favor of a more deliberately delivered dose of rock. It\’s a softer, gentler side of Movements that still hits just as hard — emotionally. \”\’Cherry Thrill\’ is definitely a departure from the \’typical\’ Movements song,\” the band says. \”As this band has grown and changed, so have our tastes. We wanted to find a way to step out of our usual writing style and explore a new sonic wave, while still maintaining the core of what this band has always been. \’Cherry Thrill\’ is the first step in a new direction for us, and we\’re extremely excited to continue down a path of natural, but significant  progression.\” Regarding the song\’s meaning, singer Patrick Miranda says, \”This was the first song that I decided to write that has absolutely nothing to do with an actual experience in my life. It\’s fully fictional. The idea is essentially a modern-day Bonnie & Clyde story. The narrator of the song is describing his undying, over-the-top love for their partner. They will do anything for each other, including robbing banks, murder, etc. The phrase \’Cherry Thrill\’ was my way of describing a sort of thirst for blood or a desire for chaos, but also the love and sensuality of the relationship between the characters.\” The band has also teamed up with Jones Soda on a limited run of a custom sour \”Cherry Thrill\” flavored soda, with a branded label featuring the single artwork. Even sweeter, Movements have also partnered with California\’s Donut Friend for their very own Cherry Thrill donut, which will be available all three Donut Friend\’s locations starting on August 27. The band will appear at the Highland Park location to meet fans. Earlier this year, Movements shared the brand new song \”Barbed Wire Body.\” Listen here. Movements will spend the rest of 2022 on the road. They will headline through September and then support A Day to Remember in October.
