Looking to breakout in Canada, local black metal band XUL have released their first full-length album
Malignance upon the masses, released June 2012.
XUL have a decent sound that will appeal to fans of black/death metal. Hard-hitting and brutal,
Malignance is intense and that intensity does not let up until the very last song.
The two best songs on the album are “Battlestorm” which has a skull crushing sound, with awesome guitar riffs. The other, “Winter’s Reign” has no lyrics, but a chilling gothic sound.
