The Devil Wears Prada\’s Daniel Williams talks Dead&Alive, Mayhem and Dead Throne

\"\" by Reggie Edwards   Metalcore veterans The Devil Wears Prada is set to release Dead&Alive, their first ever live CD/DVD combo, on June 26, something drummer Daniel Williams says fans have been asking for years. As if that wasn’t big enough, the band has also been confirmed for this year’s Mayhem Festival and will be playing alongside As I Lay Dying metal legends Motorhead, Slayer and the one-and-only Slipknot.
“We’re playing with insanely huge bands that I would have only dreamed of playing with,” says Williams. “I’ve been following those bands for quite a few years now, not just cuz I’m in a band but because of my love for metal and I’ve always looked up to them so I just can’t believe we’re finally going to play with them.
“To be honest it will probably show in our performance, you’ll see how much fun we’re actually having,” says Williams. Of course, the guys in The Devil Wears Prada is still supporting their latest record, the highly-successful Dead Throne. Williams talked to us about the pressure that comes with putting out consistently successful records and how they deal with that pressure. Listen to the interview here: The Devil Wears Prada
