Sueco has released his newest single, “Mulholland Drive.” This is the second single from his new album, Attempted Lover, which is slated for a June 2024 release.
The song is a stripped-back track with soaring vocals pulling inspiration from Coldplay’s song “Parachute.” His first single off the album was the fast-paced, anthem “Drama Queen” released in March 2024.
“When I wrote “Mulholland Drive” I was really looking to tap into a different side of myself than I had for “Drama Queen,” shares Sueco. “My next album, Attempted Lover, is all about trying to find love touching on the dualities and complicated emotions that come along with it, and I wanted these singles to emulate that.”
Hailed by Rolling Stone as “a major proponent of genre-bending music through his kinetic rock-hyperpop-rap sound,” Sueco has quickly proven he is one of pop-punks most exciting prospects of the genre’s resurgence. His breakout single “Fast,” released in 2019, quickly became one of his most streamed songs, reaching over 47 million listeners.
Following his first full-length project MISCREANT, he kicked off his next chapter alongside producers and cowriters such as John Feldmann (Machine Gun Kelly, Avril Lavigne, Jxdn) and Colin “DOC” Brittain (5SOS, Papa Roach) for his debut album, It Was Fun While It Lasted. The critically acclaimed project included hits such as “SOS” (feat. Travis Barker), “Sober/Hungover” (feat. Arizona Zervas), “Drunk Dial,” and his RIAA gold-certified smash, “Paralyzed” amassing over 210 million global streams.
After generating over 1.2 billion streams over the course of his career so far and receiving praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, NYLON, Alternative Press, Billboard, and more, this is just the beginning for Sueco.
