Snow White’s Poison Bite are a fresh horror punk band out of Finland. Just as the CD title (fairly obviously) implies it is a gruesome gory good time.
From the title track, “The Gruesome Gory Horror Show,” all the way down to the last musical track, “Lurking Inside of You,”
the album is a wicked good time.
Tuomo “Tupi” Raisanen on guitar strings together a great mix of a classic punk sound with a modern take on it. They manage to hit lighter punk parts that blend perfectly into post hardcore style break downs.
Hannu “Bobo” Saarimaa and Niko “Hoker Dine” Hyttinen put together a solid rhythm section- letting the lead guitar shine where it needs to but not falling too far into the background to be over looked.
“Jeremy Thirteenth” puts on vocal that are reminiscent of the hay day of horror punk. Not to mention there’s a nice guest spot from Michael Graves on “Zombie Romance” for any of you newer Misfits fans out there. Lyrically the album is full of quirky lines that will put a sick smile on any horror hounds face.
The album overall puts a fresh spin on a long standing genera. If blood and guts, zombies, and gore are your thing than I would say this album is for you.
