Rock on the Range 2014 showcases many memorable moments

Rock on the Range is commonly seen as the biggest rock festival in the United States every year. In its eighth year, ROTR has grown from one day in 2007 to two and a half days in 2013 to three full days in 2014 and continues to grow at a rapid pace. 2013 saw numerous memorable moments- including Brian “Head” Welch’s official return to KoRn, Cheap Trick bringing members of Buckcherry on Stage and more. 2014 saw yet another stellar lineup, impressive crowd turnout and its fair share of memories on stage. Here’s our top moments from each day of Rock on the Range 2014: Day 1:
  • Guns n Roses took the stage on time
  • Kill Devil Hill brought Down frontman Phil Anselmo on stage to jam with bassist Rex Brown for “Mouth for War”
  • Down returned the favor by bringing Rex Brown onstage for “Stone the Crow”
  • A reunited Living Colour rocked the Ernie Ball Stage
  • Rain and downpours didn’t stop anything as the rock and metal kept coming with Staind playing one of the wettest sets of the weekend on the Monster Main Stage.
  • Staind frontman Aaron Lewis telling the crowd how it is: he told them he saw a bunch of guys in the crowd who’s mothers obviously fucked up because they see a woman crowd surfing as free range to grab whatever they want. “Last time I checked I don’t see any women grabbing a handful of dicks so knock it off”
Day 2:
  • Pop Evil brought DMC on stage to perform “Trenches”
  • Despite some travel problems, Avatar made it and played one of the most impressive sets of the weekend- battling a rainstorm
  • Suicidal Tendencies continued their impressive return with a headline set on the Ernie Ball Stage and one of the best shows of the weekend
  • The WWE \”YES\” chant that broke out right before Fozzy\’s set on the Jager stage
  • We As Human frontman Justin Cordle crowd surfing with Spiderman and climbing the stage to the very top
  • Avenged Sevenfold wrapping up day 2 with a set that included some of their old classics
Day 3:
  • Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience- need we say more?
  • The mass carnage Five Finger Death Punch brings with them to every ROTR
  • Adelitas Way frontman Rick DeJesus crowd surfing to the back of the stadium and then back up to the stage
  • Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody telling the crowd that “the next guy I see rip a girl’s shirt off while she’s crowd surfing, I’ll come out there and personally kick your ass”
  • Kid Rock capped off the weekend with an impressive set that included some of his old classics- “Devil Without a Cause,” “Cowboy,” “Cocky,” “American Badass”
