It’s been a road for Everclear to say the least and the fact the band is going as strong as they are 30 years into their career is a true testament.
To commemorate their 30th anniversary, the band is set to release a live album like you wouldn’t expect and one that will make longtime Everclear fans very happy, and what better place to have the show and record the live album than the legendary Whisky A Go Go.
Matt Pinfield opens the show, introducing the band and talking about how long he’s known them for and how much he loves them, and we’re off to the races for a 17-song setlist that encapsulates the band’s entire career, the exact opposite of what a lot of bands would do on an anniversary tour.
They reach deep into the holster and pull out tracks from almost every record of their career, including two from their debut- World of Noise which was re-issued last year- and their first-ever single, “Fire Maple Song.”
They balance out the hits with the deep cuts perfectly and really take the crowd- and listener- on a 30-year journey, reliving the band’s career right there with them and making for an experience that any fan will love from start to finish. The band has never sounded better and this makes you ready to get out and catch a show on their current 30th Anniversary Tour.
