Purple: (409) review
Alternative rockers get ready, Purple are set to unleash a new set of music to the public in the form of (409), set for a late January release.
If you’re a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Middle Class Rut and other bands of the like, you’ll pretty much freak when you hear this record.
With an impressive mix of funk, electronica, Avant-garde and rock, (409) shows the depth Purple has when they sit down to write. This isn’t just an album, it’s a full-on listening experience that would fit well on a tour with Middle Class Rut or The Black Keys.
(409) shows Purple channeling the psychedelic, funkadelic and stoner rock depths few bands go to and coming out the other end with a stronger record because of it.
This is a record fans of the alternative side of rock will absolutely love and shows just how strong of a band Purple really are. Look for big things from them in 2015.
