Passion: Even So Come review

Ever since it\’s inception in 1997 by Louie Giglio, Passion Conferences have been taking over as the top worship conference every year. To accompany the conference each year, Passion releases an album featuring the top worship songs from that year\’s conference. This year sees Passion: Even So Come, which follows in the footsteps of the last decade\’s Awakening, here For You, White Flag, Let The Future Begin and Take It All- all of which were met with high acclaim from fans and critics. Even So Come is no exception and is one of the most moving and powerful collections of music put together this year. Then again what do you expect when you get Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, Kristian Stanfill, Christy Nockels, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone on one record together? Songs like “Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains)” and “Wonder” from Crowder or the title track, “The Saving One” or “The Cross of Christ” from Chris Tomlin” and “The Awesome God You Are” by Matt Redman perfectly sum up what Even So Come is all about. With a lineup of artists like Passion brings to the table, this is guaranteed to be a home run of an album and that\’s exactly what it is too. There\’s not a single track on Even So Come that\’s a low-point or filler. Each song flows perfectly into the next and it\’s a perfectly-constructed worship experience. Rating: 9/10 -Reggie Edwards
