Over a quarter million fans turn out for World\’s Loudest Month

Over 278,000 fans turned out for rock festivals on five consecutive weekends across the nation as part of the World’s Loudest Month, from April 27-May 26, 2013. Created in partnership by AEG Live and Right Arm Entertainment, the World’s Loudest Month features the biggest names in rock music performing in five distinct U.S. concert atmospheres. Over 100 bands performed at Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rockfest, Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma, solidifying the vitality of rock and metal music in America. 2013 marked the debut of the World’s Loudest Month App which featured the latest band lineups, artist bios, site maps, social feeds, pictures, videos, music and much more for all the World’s Loudest Month music festivals. Here are some highlights from the 2013 World’s Loudest Month festivals: Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville (www.WelcomeToRockvilleFestival.com) The third annual Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville drew over 25,000 people for the two-day destination music festival held April 27 and 28, 2013 at Jacksonville, Florida’s scenic Metropolitan Park, along the scenic St. Johns River. Florida’s biggest rock event featured performances from Alice In Chains and Limp Bizkit (marking the band’s first hometown show in over a decade), as well as Jacksonville legends Lynyrd Skynyrd and Shinedown, and many more. Carolina Rebellion (www.CarolinaRebellion.com) Over 45,000 fans turned out for the Carolinas’ biggest weekend of rock, held May 4 and 5 at the festival’s new home at Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. The third annual CarolinaRebellion featured a lineup full of rock heavyweights, including Alice In Chains, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Steel Panther, Halestorm, and many more. Rockfest (www.RockfestKC.com) The 21st year for America\’s largest one-day music festival had 53,000 in attendance. The May 11 Kansas City, MO festival featured Alice In Chains, Seether, Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage and more. Rock On The Range (www.RockOnTheRange.com) In its seventh year, Rock On The Range–America’s premier destination rock festival–was sold-out, with over 105,000 tickets sold. The biggest rock festival in the U.S. featured more than 50 bands performing at Columbus Crew Stadium in Ohio Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19. Attendees travelled from 49 states and three countries for this year’s festival, which generated an economic impact of $17 million to the Columbus metro area. Rocklahoma (www.Rocklahoma.com) 50,000 fans turned out for this year’s Rocklahoma, the Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party that features the top current active rock artists and classic bands at “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK. Rocklahoma celebrated its seventh year May 24, 25 and 26 with a stellar rock lineup including Guns N’ Roses, Alice In Chains, Korn and many more. Rocklahoma’s charity efforts have already raised over $50,000 for tornado relief in the Oklahomaregion this year and the festival is also hosting a charity auction with autographed band memorabilia from now through June 14.
