Before The Mourning: Etherial End review

Before The Mourning are the latest band to emerge upon the metal world and their debut- Etherial End- and it’s sure to make any fan of metal crank the volume up to max and rock out like there’s no tomorrow. Set for an August 21 release, this is the band’s debut and it’s a hell of one at that. While they aren’t reinventing the wheel by any means on Etherial End that could be a good thing because you already know you’ll like what you hear going in. There’s a lot of different sounds on this one- some songs remind you of Five Finger Death Punch while others scream Miss May I, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed and more. Lyrically and thematically this album is right on track with some of the most emotional and connecting lyrics around. Etherial End is an album that’s the anthem for anyone who’s lived a life of pain and suffering, anyone who’s suffering or going through something. It’s the perfect way to get that emotion out of you. While this album isn’t going to be a game-changer or start a whole new movement within metal, this should be considered one of the better debuts of the year and is a statement album for Before The Mourning.
