Live Review: Three Days Grace in Fort Wayne

When Three Days Grace announced their reunion with original singer Adam Gontier in 2024, it sent the rock world on fire and their first single back together- “Mayday” climbed the charts quickly.

They hit the road to support Disturbed in 2025, but then they announced a 2026 headline tour with support from I Prevail and The Funeral Portrait, setting the stage for a night of some of the hottest bands in all of rock and an evening loaded with hits.

With over 10,000 people packed into Fort Wayne, Ind.’s Allen County War Memorial Coliseum early, fans were amped from the start and ready to throw down with The Funeral Portrait- one of the fastest-rising bands going right now and the fans knew every word to every song, singing at the top of their lungs.

The band sounds amazing, operating at such a high level they’re getting to be undeniable. Two years into support touring for their latest record- Greetings From Suffocate City, which has spawned hit after hit, the band isn’t slowing down any time soon and the sold-out crowd loved the band’s set.

I Prevail was up next and it was their first full-length U.S. tour since parting ways with clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser and fans were eager to see what the band would look and sound like with the revamped lineup.

They’re out supporting their latest record- Violent Nature– which saw the band going down their heaviest road yet and it showed in Fort Wayne. Almost every song was plastered with pyrotechnics, and the band opted to play mainly material from Violent Nature and True Power, choosing the heaviest songs from each record.

Three Days Grace closed the night out in classic fashion. They played a set that blended all three eras of the band’s history, playing old school fan favorites, songs from the Matt Walst era and the current iteration of the band as well, intertwining them perfectly.

The 10,000+ fans sang at the top of their lungs, deafeningly drowning out the band at numerous times, showing their love for the band and appreciation for Gontier being back.

Gontier took time to tell the story of the band’s journey, his leaving and rejoining and expressing his appreciation for co-singer Matt Walst stepping in and continuing the band in his time away.

Seeing both singers alternating vocals on each song was very cool and seeing Gontier singing and putting his spin on Walst-era TDG tracks was refreshing and a fun experience.

Three Days Grace made sure to give everyone in the building their money’s worth and make it the show of a lifetime for any fan that paid their money to come out to the show.
