Live: Papa Roach in Indy

It’s hard to believe the Summer concert season is almost over but things are getting even hotter as the come to a close, with Papa Roach hitting Indy’s Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn with Asking Alexandria and Bad Wolves. Bad Wolves got the night started off right, with frontman Tommy Vext jumping around the stage like a madman, demanding the crowd give everything they could in the short time they were together. At one point, Vext left the stage and came down into the security area with guitarist Chris Cain, who sat on Vext’s shoulders and walked to the crowd, making sure the other two bands’ work was cut out for them. Asking Alexandria had the challenge of following Bad Wolves and, after they wrapped up, Papa Roach took over and blew the rest of the crowd away. The band was energetic and intense as ever, with Jacob Shaddix eyes telling the story of a madman who would settle for nothing short of extreme from the fans and made sure he got exactly that. Their setlist was loaded with classics “Last Resort,” “Scars,” “Getting Away With Murder,” “…To Be Loved” and “Forever” but the band also snuck in a few newer songs from Who Do You Trust? like “Elevate” and the title track. The band has never been one to take things for granted and showed that in Indy, taking time to thank the fans for coming out on a Wednesday and proving that rock and roll is alive and well and for making sure bands like themselves always feel at home when they come through. -Reggie Edwards \"Click \"Click \"Click
