Live: Motionless In White in Belvidere

Recently, metal bands Twiztid, After The Burial and We Came As Romans opened for Motionless In White at The Apollo Theatre AC in Belvidere, Ill. for Motionless In White’s Trick or Treat tour.
The rap rock trio Twiztid started the night off and got the crowd ready for one spooky night with some great bands. Tiwztid had a great stage presence and their very own vivid stage lights. Twiztid closed out their set that night with one of their most popular songs “We Don’t Die” off of their 2000 album ‘Freek Show.’
After The Burial followed after Twiztid, opening with one of their most popular songs, “Lost In The Static”, which was the first single released from their album ‘Dig Deep’. After The Burial’s set also included “Behind The Crown”, “Exit, Exist” and “In Flux” from their newest album that was released only a few months ago. That night After The Burial closed with “A Wolf Amongst Ravens”, which was also a fan favorite, from their album ‘Wolves Within’. With After The Burial’s energetic performance and very own crazy stage lights, After The Burial set the stage for the next band, We Came As Romans.
We Came As Romans took the stage after After The Burial with the first track off their album ‘Cold Like War’, “Vultures With Clipped Wings”. Just like Twiztid and After The Burial, We Came As Romans also brought their own lights for an intense light show throughout their entire set. Midway through We Came As Roman’s set they played “Carry the Weight” and “From the First Note” both of which were released less than a month prior to the show. That night We Came As Romans closed with “Cold Like War”. We Came As Romans’ crazy stage performance got the crowd warmed up for the headliner, Motionless In White
Motionless In White’s stage production is one of the best I have seen to date, the backdrop was an eerie haunted house and the stage was lined with tens of glowing jack-o’-lanterns. Tiny skeletons were hung from the guitarist’s mic stands and Chris had a lantern attached to his. During Motionless In White’s performance the lights were kept low and dark, allowing the pumpkins to light up the stage. Motionless In White opened with “Undead Ahead 2: The Tale of the Midnight Ride” off of their newest album ‘Disguise’.
During Motionless In White’s second song, “Reincarnate”, a big, spooky jack-o’-lantern ran around the stage terrorizing the band members. A couple of songs later Sam, from the movie Trick ‘r Treat, came on stage with a bag of candy and chucked it out into the crowd. That night’s setlist consisted mostly of songs off of Motionless In White’s two newest albums, ‘Graveyard Shift’ and ‘Disguise’. Towards the end of Motionless In White’s set a ten foot monster waltzed across the stage while Motionless In White rocked out. That night Motionless In White closed out the show with “Eternally Yours” from their album ‘Graveyard Shift’.
That night fans were very impressed with all four band’s performances, stage production and song choices. With new releases from most of the bands on this lineup make sure to check out their newer and older hits. Also be sure to check out our photo gallery from this show.
