Live: Luke Bryan in Fort Wayne

Luke Bryan is anything short of busy, wrapping up his amphitheatre tour recently in Indianapolis closing out the season for Ruoff Home Mortgage Center in Noblesville, Ind. After that, he headed north a few days later to Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Ft Wayne Indiana on Wednesday night. The crowd was primed and ready for the country star to perform and his special guest Cole Swindell and John Langston helped warm them up and in between sets DJ Rock kept the music spinning with his mixing of current country songs. Langston started it off with a good thirty minute set, but when Cole Swindell came out the crowd exploded with excitement as he treated the crowd to all of their favorites. Cue the headliner, Luke Bryan, who rolled out on a four wheeler complete with a guitar stand and two beer holders and a make shift stage platform  as he drove out onto the stage pausing to pop open one of them and toast to the crowd all while opening with “what makes you country”.  Luke sang all of his hits as well as a few new ones, and treated the crowd to a duet not only with Cole Swindell but John Langston as well as the trio sang a cover of David Lee Murphy’s “Dust on the bottle” and to the crowds amazement Tim McGraw’s “Where the Green Grass Grows” That really got the crowd moving, Luke finished the night with “Play it again” “That’s my kind of Night” and came out to a capacity crowd standing and screaming for an encore and that he did. One last song to end the show and leave the crowd excited and going home still singing along “Country Girl.” Bryan put on a great show for the crowd and is always a crowd favorite for fans of Country Music, and even of concert goers that may not be big country fans (I might have spotted a guy wearing a Korn sweatshirt, just saying). It\’s always fun to see him live until next time he rolls into town, I will be singing along in the car. -Brien Mitchum
