Live: Louder Than Life 2016

Every year in May, we\’re blessed with what is now known as The World\’s Loudest Month. This is the month where numerous rock festivals pop up- Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Kansas City Rockfest, Northern Invasion, Fort Rock and Welcome to Rockville are just a few of them. This year saw the third installment of Louisville\’s Louder Than Life Festival and many people are saying it was the best one so far. With headliners Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold rounding off each night, it was definitely in the running for the best LTL so far and we\’re proud to bring you our photo coverage and interview coverage of each day. Day One Winners: Avenged Sevenfold, Sick Puppies, I Prevail, Avatar, Hellyeah and Chevy Metal. Day Two Winners: Them Evils, Skillet, Parkway Drive, Ghost, Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Korn, Disturbed and Slipknot. Highlights: Korn debuting “A Different World” with a guest performance by Corey Taylor, I Prevail\’s cover of Taylor Swift\’s“Blank Space,” Skillet\’s brand new live show, Ghost opening with new song “Square Hammer,” Disturbed played a cover medley and was joined by Benji Webbe of Skindred. Lowlight: Louisville Police Department blocking off all parking lots (including staff and media) and refused to let anyone leave until the show was over, venue was empty and all patrons had left the venue. This put many people not actually getting out until after 11 p.m. When the show ended around 9:45-10 p.m. Aside from this, Louder Than Life 2016 was by far one of the best festivals of the year. Along with Rock Allegiance and Aftershock, it\’s always one of the final three festivals of the year and gives bands a chance to go out with a bang. We appreciate all that Danny Wimmer Presents does for rock and metal and we look forward to the 2017 festival season. -Reggie Edwards \"\"                 Interview with Them Evils: Interview with Avatar:
