Live; Clutch in Ft. Wayne

June 10th, 2016 may have not been a monumental day in history but, for those in close proximity to Ft. Wayne, IN it meant one thing…. Frederick, Maryland’s favorite sons, Clutch, were playing Pierre’s. To the folks that would rather listen to EDM and watch a guy play his computer, Clutch being in town doesn’t mean shit. But, to the 1500 loyal fans that packed Pierre’s to the gills that night witnessed something truly magical and there couldn’t have been anywhere on earth that they’d have rather been. In the time that it took to change over the stage between openers Corrosion of Conformity and Clutch the anticipation in the crowd had a level of electricity to it that I haven’t experienced in quite some time. Time had put on the brakes, almost as if the clock was broken. By the time the band took the stage, the audience was already primed and ready to go. Once Vocalist, Neil Fallon, grabbed the microphone, the band blasted into Who Wants to Rock? off their 1999 release Jam Room. Without time for a breath Clutch followed with X-Ray Visions => Firebirds! from 2015’s Psychic Warfare, the bands current and highest charting release to date, which would get the most songs played ,at eight. At the ripe old age of 25, Clutch doesn\’t show any signs of letting up anytime soon. Lyrically, Fallon is still writing real and relatable songs. Guitar player Tim Sult, produces some of the sweetest guitar tones on the planet while the rhythm section of Dan Maines (bass) and J.P.Gaster (drums) put together a back line as well as anyone in the business. As for the live version, there are few bands that can reproduce studio quality live sets….Clutch does and that\’s the secret to their success Set List
