Killswitch Engage- Disarm the Descent review

by Reggie Edwards Get ready, metalheads, Killswitch Engage are back, and in more than one way, with Disarm the Descent. Set for an April 2 release, Disarm the Descent sees the return of original frontman Jesse Leach after a long absence and Howard Jones’ departure. Leach’s return breathes new life into Killswitch Engage, not that they needed it in the first place. Disarm the Descent offers up some of the band’s darkest, heaviest and most melodic works so far and brings nothing but pure, ballsy attitude. If you thought “In Due Time” kicked ass, just wait until you hear the rest of the album. There’s no doubt this is one of Killswitch Engage’s best releases to date and it’s gonna be hard for them to top this one. Rating: 9/10
