HASTE THE DAY, the metalcore band that made a scene splash in the ’00s, returned in 2024 with the video for the new song “Burn.” They also appeared at Furnace Fest that year. It was their first music in nearly a decade. But they didn’t stop there. Not a chance! Earlier this month, the beloved band announce its new album DISSENTER will arrive May 1 on Solid State Records. It’s their first album since 2015. Pre-order it here.
Today, they share the visualizer for new single “Liminal,” featuring Silent Planet’s Garrett Russell. Watch it here.
“‘Liminal’ expands on the melodic, aggressive metalcore foundation of the record while leaning into the punk and hardcore influences that shaped our early sound,” the band explains. “Featuring soaring melodic guitar leads and a powerful guest vocal from Garrett Russell of Silent Planet, the song feels both familiar and forward-moving — drawing a clear line from Attack of the Wolf King into the present. Lyrically, ‘Liminal’ explores the tension of being stuck between two truths, caught in a space where movement feels impossible.”
