Feature: Shim talks leaving Sick Puppies in past, going solo, returning at Rock on the Rage

Most people know Shim Moore as the longtime voice of Sick Puppies. A few years ago, though, he left the band and popped up from time to time on guest spots but overall stayed out of the spotlight. He recently made his return the week of Rock on the Range 2018, which is one of the biggest weeks for rock music in the United States. Everyone with new music plays the festival and many bands who are releasing new music appear, so when Shim released his solo debut single- \”Hallelujah\”- many fans were hoping he would make an appearance and that\’s exactly what he did- playing the Second Stage. Shim took some time to talk to The Front Row Report– both at the festival and via phone afterward- to discuss his return, his feelings on playing Sick Puppies material live, what we can expect from his upcoming debut solo record and much, much more. Needless to say, Shim is just as excited to be back as the fans are to have him back. His happiness is just infectious and rubs off on you the second you sit down with him and it\’s clear he hasn\’t lost a step in his time away from the spotlight. As he mentioned, he will be hitting the road soon so make sure to watch out for dates and venues and get your tickets quick. -Reggie Edwards
