Deathpoint: Sinister review

If you’re not familiar with Deathpoint, you should be. These guys are one of the most solid hard rock acts coming up right now and their latest record, Sinister, is one you should grab if you don’t already have it. It’s hard to compare Deathpoint to anyone else- they’re nothing out-of-this-world new and there’s not a lot of curve balls with this record but what we do have is one of the most solid and strong hard rock albums to come from a rising band this year. It won’t take long after turning on Sinister, before you’re headbanging and singing along with the record and it’s piercing and cutting guitars. Sinister, with the right amount of attention, should solidify them as one of the best rising acts right now and it wouldn’t be hard to envision them playing next year’s Warped Tour- and doing better than half the bands on that tour as well.
