Live: TLC, Salt n Pepa and En Vogue in Noblesville

When TLC comes to town, it’s a party and they came through Noblesville recently, bringing Salt n Pepa and En Vogue with them this time and Ruoff Music Center was jampacked with fans ready for that party.

This tour was a special one in that En Vogue opened up with a quick two-song set of “My Lovin” and “Free Your Mind” and then TLC took over almost immediately with no set changeover.

They played a five-song medley set before Salt n Pepa came in for another quick set before trading off with En Vogue, who traded off who traded off with TLC and back and forth again.

Each group alternated with each other for a rapid-paced show that kept the party going with only one delay- which was for technical difficulties when a cord got disconnected on stage.

All three groups sounded as good as they did 30 years ago and looked just as good. They worked the fans perfectly and moved with grace and and energy that would have made you think it was 1998 again, from the LED videos and imagery all the way down to the artists’ wardrobe and the backup dancers.

The fans in attendance were dancing, partying singing and having all the fun they could possibly have and the show took everyone back to the 90’s for over 2 hours of nostalgia that reminded everyone why these three bands are the hip hop and pop powerhouses they have been for so long.
