Fall To June may be just releasing their debut full-length this month, they’re nowhere near newcomers to songwriting and making kick-ass rock music and this is more than evident on their self-titled debut.
If you’re a fan of Seether, Creed, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle or Alter Bridge, this is the band for you. There’s so many different styles of rock on Fall To June that there’s something fun to discover on every song. Some songs have a southern rock vibe while others have a Creed-esque feel to them.
The record starts off swinging for a win from the get-go with “Redemption,” which is a statement song right off the bat. “Curtain Call” keeps the rock coming with an anthemic rock song that’ll get everyone singing along in no time.
“Super Angel” is one of the standout tracks on the record and has guitars that ring “Mark Tremonti” through and through and a chorus that can resound with anyone listening.
Whether it’s “The Rain,” “Closer,” or “Unbreakable,” there’s not a single low spot on the album. It’s going to be tough for Fall To June to top this one in the future and they’ve written one of the strongest rock albums so far this year.
While there isn’t anything new or groundbreaking here, it’s an album that you can’t deny is written beautifully and is something Fall To June should be proud of.
