RAW Preview for 1/19/15: RAW reunion tonight

Here we are in 2015 and we’re just six days away from the first PPV of the year- the annual Royal Rumble. With the Rumble being one of the biggest PPV’s each year we can always expect big things from the go-home edition of RAW that week.

This week is no exception with a star-studded reunion episode set to air tonight. Returning to RAW are Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, Ron Simmons, X-Pac, Billy Gunn and others.

With such a star-studded lineup making its appearance, the possibilities are vast for what WWE could do tonight. We will finally get to see the NWO and D-Generation X on the same show so we’re all probably hoping to see the two legendary factions in the ring together in some capacity.

Since Road Dogg is a backstage agent for WWE, there’s a very good chance we could see the New Age Outlaws yet again (the team returned last year for another successful run and held the Tag Team titles for a few months before being dethroned by The Usos).

Since JBL is a weekly announcer on the show, we could hopefully also see the return of the APA- or, if we’re lucky The Acolytes since its Wrestlemania season and The Undertaker’s return is in limbo, which would be a great way to usher in a feud with Sting or Bray Wyatt.

If it’s the APA the returns, we could see them hit the ring with The Ascension- the latest team to emerge from NXT. With the promos they’ve been cutting, what better team to step on the mic with The Ascension and put them in their place than the APA.

The biggest question is this- Will Sting show up? His current deal calls for around four appearances and his history with the NWO has been well documented and goes back almost 20 years. Could we see a final NWO-Sting feud? Maybe a long-awaited DX-NWO storyline? Probably not, but it would definitely make a lot of fans happy.

Along with the reunion, there’s a few current angles that are set to continue or come to a head at this Sunday’s Royal Rumble.

What will happen between Roman Reigns and Big Show? With Daniel Bryan set to face Kane this Thursday on SmackDown with this Rumble match on the line, what will The Authority do to the leader of the YES! Movement next?

Finally, the build up to the triple threat WWE World Heavyweight title match between Seth Rollins, John Cena and Brock Lesnar continues to heat up with Rollins curb stomping Lesnar last week on RAW, which led to an outstanding in-ring promo between Mr. Money In The Bank and Lesnar’s Advocate- Paul Heyman on SmackDown. What will happen next in the triple threat storyline and who will come out on top?

It all goes down at 8 p.m. EST tonight on USA.
